The institute provides ample opportunities to perform in public, honing professionalism, developing leadership skills, and building self-confidence. Under the instruction of distinguished guest artists and members of the San Francisco Symphony, students participate in daily masterclasses, recitals, chamber music activities, and small group coaching. Summer Music Institute at Tateuchi Hall is a two-week intensive summer program offering high-level training to intermediate and advanced string players and pianists selected by video audition.
